For centuries the symbol eye has been associated with warding off the evil eye rays transmitted
usually without intention by some one who is envious. It's also called the invidious eye
and the envious eye.
 
Origination some thousand years ago in the east the evil eye and is said to word off jealousy and envy from people who may be wishing misfortune for others. This charm is mostly thought of as a protective symbol
to the person wearing or bearing it, and said to protect that person from the curse of the evil eye.
This may be a myth or related to the supernatural, however many people still believe in the
